This policy explains what information the JarForAI web application and the JarForAI Companion browser extension collect, why, and how it is handled. It applies to jarforai.com and the JarForAI Companion extension.

When you create a JarForAI account we collect your email address. It is used to identify your account, sign you in, and send you account-related messages. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
To keep you signed in, we store authentication credentials and access tokens. In the browser extension, your access token is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) so you do not have to sign in on every session. These tokens identify you to your own JarForAI account and nothing else.
When you choose to save a checkpoint or capture a reply, JarForAI stores the content of the AI conversation you explicitly select. This can include the messages in that conversation. This only happens when you click a save or capture action — JarForAI does not read or record your conversations automatically or in the background.
On the supported AI websites, and only when you trigger an action, the extension reads the content of the active AI conversation in order to capture it into your project or inject your saved project into it. It reads this content only on the supported AI sites listed below, only on the tab you are actively using, and only in response to an action you take.
Some pages on jarforai.com may display advertising provided by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. These networks use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to jarforai.com and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
Advertising applies only to public pages of jarforai.com. It does not run inside the JarForAI Companion browser extension, and ad networks do not receive your Jar account data, project content, or saved AI conversations.
The JarForAI Companion extension operates only on the AI assistant websites it supports: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, GLM, and Kimi. It does not read, monitor, or collect information from any other website, and it does not track your browsing history or activity across the web.
Your projects, checkpoints, and account data are stored on our servers, associated with your JarForAI account. Authentication tokens are stored in hashed form at rest. Extension data (your access token, selected project, preferences, and cached project list) is stored locally in your browser.
We keep your account and project data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@jarforai.com. Signing out of the extension clears the locally stored token from your browser.
You can access, correct, or delete your personal data by contacting us at the address above.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
